Frequently Asked Questions

Olé Tapas Bath

Booking is recommended, especially during busy periods. However, we always keep some space available for walk-ins at our Spanish tapas restaurant in Bath.
Yes, we are dog friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please note that our space is limited, so larger breeds may feel uncomfortable, as well as other guests.
As Galicians ourselves, we must point out that Padrón peppers are seasonal and available only during the months between May and October..

If you find “Padrón peppers” outside of this period, they are simply not real Pimientos de Padrón (sorry).

You can find everything you need to know in this link
We have hosted live music in the past, but we are not currently scheduling live music events at Ole Tapas in Bath.
We occasionally offer Acorn Fed Iberian ham croquetas as a special.

Croquetas were originally created to avoid food waste. Just as Italians have arancini, Spaniards make croquetas using high-quality leftovers. Mushrooms, chicken, beef stew, ends of cured meat like chorizo…..they all could become a croqueta.

Whenever we have leftover Iberian ham that cannot be served on our boards, we turn it into….yes, croquetas.

A good tip to spot homemade croquetas is to check whether they are made using ingredients already present on the menu.
Children of all ages are welcome at Ole Tapas.

Please be aware that we have high tables and stools, and limited space for pushchairs or prams.

We do not have high chairs, but we stack two stools together so children can sit higher (they usually love it).

Every child receives a Chupa Chups when leaving. If you would prefer your child not to receive one, please let us know.
Yes, we do.

Unlike many places, we prepare our Spanish tortilla to order, so you never end up with a dry slice.

Our tortilla is made with Galician potatoes fried in extra virgin olive oil, onion and organic eggs.

Betanzos style, as it should be… with onion.
Of course we do.
We serve 100% acorn-fed Iberian ham. One easy way to spot poor-quality ham is by looking at the slices — if they all look identical and supermarket-perfect, it is probably not the real thing.
Yes, we do.
We can host private gatherings of up to 28 people at our tapas restaurant in Bath. Please email us with your request and we will create a tailored menu and experience for your event.
Our menu is designed to cater for a wide range of dietary requirements. All allergens are detailed on the menu, but we strongly recommend speaking to our team when placing your order.
As everything is prepared in-house in a small kitchen, cross-contamination is possible.
Around 75% of our menu is made using gluten-free ingredients, so you will have plenty to choose from.
Due to the size of our kitchen, we cannot guarantee food to be 100% gluten free. Please speak to us when ordering if you have any concerns.
Absolutely.
We greatly respect the ethics behind veganism and do our best to accommodate. We offer a good selection of vegan tapas, which you can check on our menu.
